The String Thief

My cat Myste is a string thief. She first found a bit of my tatting lying about and stole it, dragging it all over the house til it had so much cat hair in it it was unrecognizable. Since then she has stolen anything string like she can find, including my sisters scarf, which she proceeded to attack and maul in a very feline manner! My other cat Leo eats string so we have to put any stray bits away where he can't get it. Myste discovered where we hide it and stole it. Here is the evidence!

The Clean House

Here are some pics of the mostly clean basement I live in. It is seldom this tidy, so I like to take pictures when it is.

New Mouse Pad

One of my passions is SHOPPING, so, while "browsing" through the local Big Lots I found a wealth of fab mouse pads, (along with other sundries which we won't mention.)

I hate to say it, but I went a tad bit crazy in the selection of these wonderful goodies. I mean a mousepad in an office supply store costs anywhere from 6 to 15 bucks! So how could I pass up very cool mousepads for 2 bucks? Here's a pic of the one I got for my personal use.

Mystery Dinner

So my aunt Sandra invited me to a mystery dinner. I was named Butch Chastity and was deemed the villain by act 3. But it turned out differently in the end. I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone else, but here are the pictures from the lovely evening.

Birthday Greats!!!

This year has been a wonderful birthday. I don't want to sound mercenary but the gifts were great! My best friend DiVeena gave me two movies, Charly and The Dance. My parents gave me a remote control for my laptop. And my adorable brother Evan sent me the full firefly TV series on DVD!!! Now I can get my Firefly fix anytime.

(Evan's the one who got me addicted to the show in the first place. Silly brother.)

The funny thing was, when I received the package, I wanted to kind of guess what it was, so I felt the contours. At first I thought it was a book, but couldn't think what book he would send me that he would be so anxious for me to get. Then when I didn't feel an indentation where the book pages should be I thought, ah Ha!!! it's a DVD. It was wider than a regular DVD case and that's when I thought of Firefly and started to get excited. So I called him and guessed before I opened it and his voice got less enthusiastic. So I knew I was probably right. And so I was!!!

So Kudos to my wonderful older brother!!!

(I know lots of exclamation points.)

Now I will have to get Serenity (the movie from Firefly) when I have some more money.

I bought a Star Cookie Cutter Tree Kit a couple of years ago but have never used it.

This year I got ambitious and finally made it. I bought pre-made sugar cookies and rolled them out. My mom made the icing because the icing I bought was too runny.

Then my mother and I put the tree together. It was really easy actually . My mom put all the icing on it and I put the little candy specks on with a toothpick. I had so much fun doing this. Maybe I will eventually use my gingerbread house kit my parents gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago.

Early Christmas

After a ton of research and consideration my parents and I decided to buy a laptop. I wasn't going to get one from Dell because I had heard a lot of bad stuff about the company. But after doing many, (and I mean MANY) tries of building a laptop at the other manufacturers websites, I found that Dell would give me the best deal and I could get everything I wanted, including Windows XP instead of Vista!

Best of ALL, it's PINK!!!

It matches my cell phone perfectly and it came with a cute little wireless mouse that is also PINK.

I am in the PINK!!!

Pretty impressive since I didn't like pink until a few years ago.

My cousin swears he will never use it since it is pink and I laugh at him, because I don't want anyone else ever touching it.

Now the only decision left is what Skinit I should get . The Pink or Green Butterfly or the Blue Harmony skin. What's your opinion, please post a comment. :)
